Generally speaking, lithium battery foil refers to lithium ion battery positive electrode foil, which is actually not accurate enough. It is better to call this non-modified positive electrode foil with a thickness of about 0.1mm as current collector aluminum foil to distinguish it from other aluminium foil used in lithium (ion) batteries, such as foils in aluminum-plastic films for battery soft packs, tab foils, modified carbon-coated foils, etc. On the one hand, the current collector aluminum foil is the current collector electrode, and on the other hand, it is the carrier of the positive or negative electrode material of the lithium battery, that is, the lithium battery material should be coated on it. In fact, the current collector aluminum foil can be referred to as battery aluminum foil.
The lithium battery foil are about 0.1mm 1070, 1060, 1235, 1230, 1100, 8011, 1N30, 3003 and other alloy foils. Among them, 1235, 1070, 1100, and 3003 alloys are used more because of their high strength. Product specifications of lithium-ion battery aluminum foil are:
Alloy grade: 1070,1235A,8021
Status: H18, H22
Thickness: 0.01-0.025mm
Tensile strength: 40-150Mpa
Stretch rate: ≥1.0
Core tube inner diameter: 30-76.2mm (adjustable)
Width: 20-150mm (adjustable)
Aluminum content: ≥99.8
Product use: used as a positive electrode collector for lithium-ion batteries
The characteristics of lithium-ion batteries determine that lithium battery foil products for lithium-ion batteries need to have high conductivity, high strength, high elongation, good surface quality, and good shape. The requirements are much higher than other aluminum foil products.
