12 Micron Aluminum Foil

July 5, 2022

The 12 micron aluminum foil products produced by Haomei Aluminum are divided into household packaging aluminium foil and battery foil according to the main categories. The thinnest thickness of household foil can reach 0.0045mm, also known as “double zero aluminum foil”. 15 micro, 13 micro, 12 micro, 10micro, 9micro aluminum foil for lithium battery, grade 1235, state H18. At present, it is dominated by double zero aluminum foil and supplemented by battery aluminum foil.

The aluminum foil with a thickness of 300-400 microns was rolled 4 or 5 times with a roller to form an aluminum foil with a thickness of 12-20 microns. 10 micron aluminum foil can be used to wrap food, and 20 micron aluminum foil can be used to bake fish. If the food is easier to cook, generally use 12 micron aluminum foil, such as potatoes, enoki mushrooms and sweet potatoes, etc. If the food is difficult to cook, then the 12 micron aluminium foil may not be thick enough, you need to use thicker tinfoil, for example Baked fish, barbecued meats and other foods with a lot of oil are not easy to cook, so whether 12 microns of aluminum foil in the oven is enough depends on the size of the ingredients and the degree of doneness, but in most cases, 10 microns of aluminum foil in the oven is suitable.

In recent years, due to the need to improve battery performance and reduce costs, the demand for battery aluminum foil by power battery companies has grown from 12 micron aluminum foil to 6 microns aluminum foil, and leading companies have even begun to try to introduce 4-5 micron products. Since 2019, the penetration rate of 6 micron aluminum foil products has continued to increase, and copper foil manufacturers have also begun to speed up the iterative upgrade of new product lines. However, from the perspective of the production process, the thinner the thickness of the product, the lower the load rate, yield and operating rate, and the higher the process cost.
