40-65 GSM Silver Gold Aluminium Foil Paper for Cigarette Packaging

Juni 30, 2026

40-65g/㎡ silver and gold aluminum foil paper for cigarette packaging is a core composite foil material developed by Haomei Aluminum specifically for the global cigarette packaging market. Leveraging over 20 years of experience in mass production and export of cigarette aluminium foil, Haomei Aluminum have developed a proprietary technical approach in alloy selection, material formulation, composite processes, and tolerance control. Our products cover all categories of cigarette packaging, including soft packs, hard packs, and cartons, and we have a stable supply to cigarette manufacturers in over 20 countries in Southeast Asia, dem Nahen Osten, and Latin America.

From a material structure and production process perspective, silver gold aluminum foil paper for cigarette packaging adopts a three-layer co-construction system ofbase paper-aluminum foil-ink coating,” with each layer’s parameters meticulously crafted to meet the core needs of cigarette packaging: aroma preservation, Feuchtigkeitsbeständigkeit, and ease of processing. The aluminum foil functional layer uses 1235-O state (fully soft state) Aluminiumlegierung, with an aluminum purity ≥99.35%. It is processed from high-purity electrical aluminum billets using a high-precision four-roll reversible rolling process to a thickness of 6-6.5μm. O-state annealing ensures a material elongation rate ≥20%, resulting in low interruption rates during lamination and embossing, strong forming consistency, and suitability for repeated bending conditions in high-speed packaging.

The entire production process incorporates online pinhole detection and defect removal, controlling the finished product pinhole density to within 0.8 Stifte/m², forming a dense barrier against moisture and oxygen. The surface gold and silver coating uses food-grade water-based ink, achieving uniform coverage through a micro-gravure coating process. The single coating thickness is stable at 1.5-2μm, with a finished product gloss ≥92% and a batch-to-batch color difference ΔE ≤1.0, balancing brand visual appeal and food contact safety. The base layer is matched with 38-60g long-fiber food-grade base paper based on the finished product weight, using a softwood pulp-based formulation to ensure composite strength and folding resistance. The lamination process employs a water-based, solvent-free dry lamination technique, resulting in a peel strength ≥1.5N/15mm for the finished product. There is no risk of solvent residue, meeting the requirements for food contact materials in major global markets.

To address the packaging habits and equipment differences in various regional markets, we have refined the 40-65g/m² weight range. The 40-45g weight range is fitted with 6μm 1235-O Zigarettenaluminiumfolie, offering moderate stiffness, specifically designed for soft-pack cigarette packaging and compatible with mainstream low-to-medium speed soft-pack production lines in Southeast Asia. The 48-55g weight range is fitted with 6.3μm aluminum foil, maintaining stiffness at 90-110g·cm, suitable for high-speed packaging of hard-pack cigarettes, and is the main specification in the Middle East and Latin America markets. The 60-65g weight range is fitted with 6.5μm aluminum foil, offering superior tear resistance and primarily used for carton packaging. The product slitting utilizes a servo positioning system, with width tolerance controlled within ±0.15mm. Standard widths range from 80-115mm, and roll lengths can be customized from 1000-2500m according to customer equipment requirements, effectively reducing roll changedown time.

In praktischen Anwendungen, the performance advantages have been dually verified under ocean shipping and mass production conditions.

In Bezug auf Barriereeigenschaften, nach 45 days in a simulated sea transport environment at 40℃ and 85% relative humidity, the moisture content of the packaged cigarettes fluctuates by ≤1.2%. The shelf life under sealed storage at room temperature reaches 24 Monate, with an aroma retention rate of ≥97%, far superior to products using metallized paper of the same weight.

In terms of processing compatibility, it is directly compatible with mainstream cigarette packaging equipment such as German Focke and Italian GD. Under high-speed operation of 800 Packungen/Minute, the scrap rate is consistently controlled within 0.03%, with no paper jams, breaks, delamination, or other abnormalities.

In terms of compliance, our products fully comply with FDA 21 CFR, EU EC 1935/2004, and food contact material standards of many Southeast Asian countries. Heavy metal migration levels are far below regulatory limits, and no additional testing is required for export customs clearance.

The entire production process adheres to the ISO22000 food safety management system. Each batch undergoes comprehensive testing for four parameters: flexural endurance, peel strength, Barriereeigenschaften, and color difference. Each roll is accompanied by a unique batch traceability code, allowing for full-chain production data tracking. We also support customized requests such as embossing, anti-counterfeiting patterns, and custom color tones. The standard order delivery time is 12-15 Tage, and products come with moisture-proof sealed packaging and fumigated wooden pallets, making them perfectly suited for ocean shipping.
