In HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) ventilation engineering, ducting aluminum foil is the core functional substrate for insulated ducts and semi-rigid ventilation ducts, directly determining the airtightness, insulation efficiency, and service life of the ventilation system. Ordinary aluminum foil on the market is prone to problems such as air leakage, condensation, and delamination due to poor formability, numerous pinhole defects, and insufficient weather resistance. Haomei Aluminum, leveraging years of experience in aluminum foil R&D and production, has specifically optimized its process formula to create specialized aluminum foil products suitable for all types of duct manufacturing. With its stable comprehensive performance, it has become the preferred raw material for duct manufacturers both domestically and internationally.

The duct manufacturing industry has stringent specific requirements for aluminum foil alloy materials. Compared to pure aluminum 1060, 8011 alloy aluminum foil is the optimal choice for duct applications. This material, through a precise ratio of iron and silicon, overcomes the shortcomings of pure aluminum foil, such as low strength, easy tearing, and poor formability. It balances lightweight design with structural toughness, perfectly adapting to industrial production processes such as duct rolling, seaming, and composite bonding, addressing common duct processing and usage issues at their source.
Based on mature alloy control and rolling processes, our ducting 8011 aluminum foil boasts standardized and stringent performance parameters, conforming to most domestic and international duct manufacturing standards. The standard thickness range is 0.06mm-0.20mm, with thickness tolerance strictly controlled within ±3%, meeting the different thickness requirements of high and low pressure ducts. Custom cutting widths from 500mm to 1600mm are available for automated duct production lines. Under mainstream H24 tempering conditions, the product’s tensile strength is stable at 140-180MPa, with an elongation of 12%-16%, balancing hardness and toughness, making it suitable for repeated bending and forming processes. Meanwhile, the product’s surface tension of 32-36 dyn/cm and surface roughness ≤0.8μm provide excellent foundation conditions for composite bonding.
A rigorous production quality control system endows this duct aluminum foil with practical performance far exceeding industry standards. Our company employs a multi-pass precision rolling process to strictly control the pinhole rate of the aluminum foil to below 0.3 pins/㎡, fundamentally ensuring the airtightness of the duct and effectively reducing energy consumption in the ventilation system. After online passivation and anti-corrosion treatment, the product can pass a 1200-hour neutral salt spray test, with a temperature resistance range covering -40℃ to 120℃. It is not easily oxidized, corroded, deformed, or aged under complex working conditions such as humidity, high temperature, and low temperature. Its peel strength with insulation substrates such as glass wool and phenolic foam is ≥1.8N/cm, higher than the industry benchmark of 1.5N/cm, completely avoiding delamination and hollowing problems after long-term use of the duct.
With its safe and stable comprehensive performance, Haomei ducting aluminium foil is suitable for all scenarios of HVAC ventilation projects. Our products are made of Class A non-combustible materials, meeting fire safety standards. They can be widely used in central air conditioning systems of commercial buildings such as office buildings, hotels, and hospitals, as well as in residential fresh air and smoke exhaust systems. Furthermore, thanks to their excellent cleanliness and vibration resistance, they are suitable for cleanroom ventilation projects in pharmaceutical and electronics factories, and for the manufacture of ventilation ducts for special working conditions such as subways, tunnels, and ships. They are also suitable for the large-scale production of various semi-rigid and composite insulated ducts.
As a source export manufacturer, we control the entire process from smelting, rolling, passivation, and slitting. Each batch of products comes with a complete testing report, and we support customized parameter adjustments, providing global customers with a one-stop procurement solution for high-performance, high-stability aluminum foil for ductwork.
